A Blueprint for Watershed Governance in British Columbia
A report from the POLIS Project on Ecological Governance at the University of Victoria, focusing on the reform and transformation of watershed governance to enable more socially and ecologically resilient—and ultimately sustainable—outcomes for B.C.
Watershed governance is emerging as a viable approach to achieving long-term sustainability. The POLIS Project on Ecological Governance's watershed governance work focuses on: providing quality research that can help guide Canada's senior governments in their efforts to develop water sustainability through institutional, legal, and governance reform; and creating and supporting opportunities for on-the-ground watershed groups to build their capacity to better engage in decision-making processes and to learn from similar groups in peer-to-peer learning environments.
